? Precise workpeices on automatic lathes are dependent on the care and accuracy with which the lathe cams have been designed. Accurate cam-milling machine permits these conditions to be met speedly and with great accuracy. Setting of adjustable rules has been so simplified that in dividual calculations of the setting angles are developed. Rules and scales permit the setting of rises to 0.02 mm and cam angles accurate to 5 minute. The operation of the machine has been simplified so that no specia knowledge is required. Due to swivel actiom of the cutter, the tip of milling cutter always remains in the same positio; alignment over the axes is therefore unnecessary. The milling action produces cleanly machined curves, with the plane surfaces accurately at right angles. Rises and falls, either slight or steep, can be cut within relatively smal angles.
